The word of God is God himself.  When a man says something  and goes away , that word spoken forth could be used against him. He could be represented anywhere and his word drawn as a reference and witness. Jesus Christ is the WORD OF GOD.
Mysteries are secrets hidden from the knowledge of man and they can be unveiled by careful and diligent study.
The bible says that the secret things belong to god but the things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever.
Let us see the book of genesis chapter one.


And the book of john 1 :1-5
In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. The same was in the beginning with God all things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life and the life was the light of men and the light in darkness and the darkness comprehended it not.


Its is a mystery because not raw material was used to create this world. Its was THE WORD OF God that did a perfect work. The word of God is real and powerful.
