What is Christianity? IS A FAITH worth following? See why

What is Christianity’s faith based on has generated so much controversy as their beliefs seems a little popular at the moment. As a writer I have quite  number of Christian friends and taken my time to ask them what Christianity is all about. This is not some version of your regular wiki news . its real time situations and encounters with Christians from different larts  of the nation.

What is Christianity faith based on ?

Many believe that its based on the bible as the word of God. I will quote some Holy Scripture verses to support these claims as written in the bible.
So even kids and adult hold the same belief that Christianityfaith is gotten from the holy book which is the word of God.

It’s a believe that is so much entrenched in the faith of Christians
That God created the world
ü  See genesis 1
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

6 And God said, “Let there be an expanse1 in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” 7 And God made2 the expanse and separated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse. And it was so. 8 And God called the expanse Heaven.3 And there was evening and there was morning, the second day.

9 And God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear.” And it was so. 10 God called the dry land Earth,4 and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good.

11 And God said, h“Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants5 yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.” And it was so. 12 The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening and there was morning, the third day.

14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons,6 and for days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so. 16 And God made the two great lights—the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars. 17 And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18 to lrule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day.

20 And God said, “Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let birds7 fly above the earth across the expanse of the heavens.” 21 So  God created the great sea creatures and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” 23 And there was evening and there was morning, the fifth day.

24 And God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds—livestock and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds.” And it was so. 25 And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

let s take a break here, according to the scripture above God almighty is seen as a creator of the universe.

Christianity also focuses its belief on God’s word as it relates to Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is a central figure in Christianity belief and their faith is based on this. Let’s see a little scripture reference of Jesus Christ. His birth was prophesied by Isaiah the old testament prophet.
Isaiah 9:6-7
rolled in blood, will be for burning, fuel for the fire. 6For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. 7There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace, On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will accomplish this.

We have established here that God almighty is the maker of Christianity. Then also we have seen a prophecy of Isaiah about Jesus birth.
Christianity is based on these two core beliefs. How can you help kids understand this?

ü  Helping kids and children understand what is Christianity?

Kids should be taught the following
1.       About the creation
2.       The love of God
3.       What sin Is
4.       The death of Christ
5.       The coming again of Jesus Christ
6.       The rapture
7.       The holy spirit.
